12 New Year Resolutions for success in your Forever business

Blog Single

Happy New Year –  I hope you are excited about 2017 and all that you are going to create this year. This month’s guest blog is from Molly Harvey – you may know Molly she is an inspiration and an expert on mindset and leadership. I’ve known Molly for a number of years and I’m lucky enough to count her as one of my friends. Here she shares her thoughts on success for the coming year.

At the beginning of a New Year it seems a natural time to make important changes, yet only a small percentage of us will be successful in achieving them.

Success to me is all about small steps every day. Breaking down the big goals into bite size chunks.

Number 1 – Yesterday ended last night

Make a decision to let go of the past, last year, even last night. Today is a new day and a whole new year.

Number 2 – Build a bridge, get out of your own way

You will never outperform or earn more than your own self-worth.  Make a decision today to:

  • Own your presence
  • Own your power
  • Own your gifts as an individual

Number 3 – The way you start your day determines how you live your day

Have a morning ritual, set the clock 30 minutes earlier than you normally get up.  Visualise your day as though it has already been a success.

Number 4 – Less is more when setting goals

Have a zen-like focus over a few things in 2017.

Number 5 – Doing things won’t get you Chairman’s Bonus

Focusing on the right things will help you achieve what you want to achieve in your business.  Make a list of daily task that will help you grow your business.

Number 6 – Never try to be like everybody else

Be the best you that you can be.

Number 7 – Keep your attention, energy and focus on your business

Build your team, what others are doing is not your business.

Number 8 – Always do your ‘to do’ list the night before

Set 10 minutes aside on a Sunday evening to sit down and plan.  What are the three things that you would like to achieve in your business for the week ahead?

Number 9 – Add a ‘stop doing’ list to your diary

Consistently ask yourself the following questions:

  • What do I need to stop doing that no longer works?
  • Is what I am doing right now helping me build the business I want?

Number 10 – Make changes not excuses

You cannot have excuses and results, only you can choose which one you want to focus on.

Number 11 – Pay attention to the basics in your business

Stop spending major time on minor activities.

Number 12 – Build your teams

Know the strengths of everyone in your team. Be the change you want your teams to be.
